When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from those providers.

We also collect usage data such as lessons completed, practice scores, and study time to power your progress tracking and personalized recommendations.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the LearnChinese service
• To track your learning progress and display your stats
• To send transactional emails (e.g. email verification, payment confirmation)
• To process payments via PayPal

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Payment processing is handled entirely by PayPal — we do not store any card or payment details.

4. Cookies

We use a session token stored in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• PayPal — payment processing
• Google / Apple — optional OAuth sign-in
• Resend — transactional email delivery

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at vththj@163.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
